We completed a full-house integration replete with 14 zones of Savant audio with access to Internet radio via a Savant Autonomix SMS-002, which provides for state-of-the-art two-way digital media control. The client can play up to two independent audio streams simultaneously and independently, which is like having two separate CD players. The project also included four zones of climate control and an energy-efficient Lutron Homeworks lighting control system. A Savant IP-based phone system was also installed to allow intercom, support and incoming caller ID on the client’s Apple iOS devices. As a perfect complement to the project, we integrated a multi-tasking Napco Gemini 9600 security system, as well as a security camera system. It features nine cameras viewable on all the Apple iOS devices utilizing an IC Realtime FLEX-16E 16 zone DVR. The remote viewing capability has proven to be invaluable. For example, while on vacation, the client checks the cameras daily to ensure the family’s nine-year-old black Labrador Retriever is being well cared for by the dog sitter. This enables the family to have a more relaxing time while on vacation. Having remote access to the lighting and shade controls is also beneficial. Being able to adjust the lighting and position of the shades after the housekeeper and dog sitter leave for the day helps to save precious energy.

This system epitomizes the successful merger of form, function and style. The home had a clean, modern feel, and our work needed to convey the essence of the client’s style. A renowned architect designed every aspect of the spatial, materials used and furnishing of the apartment. We had to work closely with him not to affect his vision of the apartment for the client
We provided all the advantages of modern technology and seamlessly installed it in a pre-war building, utilizing space in the most efficient manner. The apartment occupies a beautiful setting five stories high overlooking Central Park, which provides a lot of natural lighting. The clients wanted privacy from surrounding apartments and passersby, but didn’t want to jeopardize their view. We implemented a practical, yet attractive solution: Savant system controls, Lutron Sivoia dual motorized shades with solar and blackout shades in the bedrooms, and solar shades in the living room, dining room, breakfast area and kitchen. They allow the beautiful view of Central Park to remain the visible focal point of our client’s lovely home. We created an entertainment environment for a busy family with wonderful gathering locations to watch television and listen to music.
The Savant Control system manages seven zones of audio to provide easy access to Internet streaming content via two Logitech Squeezeboxes and a CD player. A Lutron Homeworks lighting control system was installed to allow for simplicity, elegance and energy-saving benefits. The Savant Control system also manages automated Lutron Sivoia shades as well as five zones of HVAC.
Television viewing components were also a major piece of the project. The client specifically wanted to have outstanding television viewing areas throughout the apartment. In addition to having television systems in the master bedroom and children’s bedrooms, TVs were also strategically incorporated in the living room, playroom and breakfast room.

The client purchased a nearly-built spec home and made substantial modifications. They wanted a single system to control the security, security cameras, lighting integration and HVAC, pool and spa, as well as audio and video. The challenge: The system had to be as simple as possible, so the client and their children could operate it with ease. Crestron Electronics provided the ideal, user-friendly solution.
The Crestron system fully controls twenty-two zones of audio, video, fourteen zones of thermostat control (with an on screen scheduler) full house Lutron Homeworks lighting control system, control of a Honeywell Vista security system, sixteen security cameras viewed from every Crestron touch screen, and a Jandy pool and spa controller.
Our client’s family is very active, which called for wanting to play sports outside night and day. The Crestron system controls the security, security cameras, lighting and music throughout their outdoor living space. The property includes a football field, basketball court, pool, pool house, and multiple terraces.
The clients envisioned having a theater where they could entertain family and friends —yet not have the sound infiltrate other areas of the residence. For example, the theater had to be able to sustain high noise levels without disturbing guests in the formal living room located directly above. This required special acoustical work and multiple forms of treatment to prevent the sound from traveling through the ceiling or up the spiral-stair hall outside the theater.

This multi-phase project involved preparing a new home for a family with several school-age children. The home of the very active family allowed for activities inside as well outdoors. The lower level of the living space encompassed a theater, bowling alley, yoga room, gym and playroom designed to provide kids with endless hours of fun. Outside, the house featured an expansive pool, pool house, gazebo, barbecue pit and adjoining recreation area. The project was unique because of the various requirements relating to the client’s recreational and lighting needs, décor and time frame.

Purchase, NY High End Theater
The project goal was to provide a state-of-the art home theater system. We choose 2.4:1 curved projection screen with electric side masking in conjunction with a top-of-the-line 3-chip DLP projector and McKinley Cinewide anamorphic projection lens. The speaker systems were chosen because of their digital ultra-high quality performance and their ability to produce extremely low bass without the use of sub-woofers. This gave us the ability to provide LFE (low frequency effect) from all speaker locations. The room was designed from the beginning with acoustics and sound proofing as a priority. The room utilizes a series of suspended acoustical panels along with a decoupled suspended ceiling system.
